Jakarta (B2B) - Presiden RI Joko Widodo melantik Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo sebagai Panglima TNI dan Letjen TNI Purn. Sutiyoso sebagai Kepala Badan Intelijen Negara (BIN) di Istana Negara, Rabu.
Jenderal Gatot Nurmantyo akan menggantikan posisi seniornya Jenderal Moeldoko yang akan memasuki usia pensiun pada 1 Agustus mendatang, sementara Sutiyoso akan menggantikan posisi Kepala BIN sebelumnya, yaitu Letjen TNI (Pur) Marciano Norman.
Sebelumnya, pencalonan Gatot Nurmantyo dan Sutiyoso telah mendapatkan persetujuan dalam rapat paripurna DPR-RI, pada Jumat (3/7).
Sebelum dilantik sebagai Panglima TNI, Gatot yang lahir di Tegal, Jawa Tengah, pada 13 Maret 1960 menjabat sebagai Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Darat (KSAD) ke-30.
Pelantikan Jenderal Gatot Nurmantyo dilakukan berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden No. 49/TNI/2015. Ia menggantikan Jenderal TNI Moeldoko yang akan memasuki masa pension pada 1 Agustus mendatang.
Gatot lulusan Akademi Militer pada 1982 ini mengawali karirinya sebagai Danton MO 81 Kiban Yonif 315 Dam II/Slw ini pernah menjabat sebagai Danrem 061/Suryakencana (2006-2007), Kasdiv 2 Kostrad (2007-2008), Dirlat Kodiklatad (2008-2009), Gubernur Akmil (2009-2010), Pangdam V/Brawijaya (2010-2011), Komandan Kodiklat TNI AD (2011-2013) dan Pangkostrad (2013-2014).

Nurmantyo replace General Moeldoko and Sutiyoso replace Lieutenant General (retired) Marciano Norman.
In its 36th plenary session here on Friday (July 3), the parliament has approved the candidacy of General Nurmantyo for the post of TNI commander and Lieutenant General (retired) Sutiyoso as the BIN chief.
General Nurmantyo, who was born in Tegal, Central Java, on March 13, 1960, was earlier the Army chief of staff. He took over the post of Army chief of staff on July 26, 2014, replacing General Budiman.
Nurmantyo served as governor of the Military Academy during the 2009-2010 period, as the commander of the Brawijaya Military Regional Command in the 2010-2011 period, as the commander of the Army Education Command between 2011 and 2013, and the commander of the Army Strategic Command.
