Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesias Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Basri Sidehabi has encouraged all Indonesian nationals residing in Qatar to remain calm and alert towards the development of the security situation in the country.

"There is no need to take excessive measures, considering the situation in Qatar that is still safe and under control," Mr Sidehabi stated in a press statement released by the Indonesian Embassy in Doha, Qatar, recently.

The ambassador made the statement following the termination of diplomatic relationships carried out by five countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen, with Qatar.

"The ambassador is the last person to leave Qatar. This kind of political condition has previously happened in 2014, and the public should not be worried," he said.
