Jakarta (B2B) - Presiden Joko Widodo dan rombongan tiba Pangkalan Udara Soewondo Medan, Rabu pada pukul 09.25 WIB dengan pesawat kepresidenan.
Setelah mendarat di landasan pacu eks Bandara Polonia, pesawat yang dinaiki Presiden Joko Widodo diarahkan menuju landasan Pangkalan Udara (Lanud) Soewondo Medan.
Jokowi direncanakan akan mengunjungi masyarakat di Kabupaten Karo yang mengungsi akibat erupsi Gunung Sinabung. Setelah turun dari pesawat, ia langsung disambut Gubernur Sumut Gatot Pujo Nugroho, Pangdam I Bukit Barisan Mayjen TNI WP Simanjuntak, dan Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol Eko Hadi Sutedjo.
Terlihat juga Wali Kota Medan Dzulmi Eldin, Pangkosekhanudnas III Medan Marsma TNI Supriharsanto dan Danlanud Soewondo Medan Kol (Pnb) Chandra Siahaan. Setelah mendarat, Jokowi dijamu unsur forum koordinasi pimpinan daerah (FKPD) Sumut di Aula Abdul Karim Lanud Soewondo Medan.
Setelah menikmati jamuan tersebut, pukul 10.15 WIB ia dan rombongan berangkat menuju Karo melintasi kawasan Asrama Haji Medan. Melalui jalur komunikasi, terdengar instruksi agar seluruh jalur yang akan dilintasi ditutup agar perjalanan Jokowi dan rombongan lancar. (Ant)
Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo accompanied by First Lady Iriana arrived at the Soewondo Air Force Base on Wednesday morning for a one-day working visit to the province of North Sumatra.
After taking off from the Halim Air Force Base at 7:15 a.m. local time, the presidential plane landed at 9:45 a.m. local time.
The president and his entourage are scheduled to visit Kabanjahe Karo to get a firsthand look at the facilities provided to the refugees of the Mt. Sinabung eruption.
On his arrival, the president was greeted by North Sumatra Governor Gatot Pudjo Nugroho and several local officers. The president was accompanied by Social Affairs Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
The working visit to the region was the first of its kind for President Joko Widodo after his inauguration on October 20, 2014.
This was also the first time that the president and first lady used the presidential plane.
The president is scheduled to return to Jakarta on Wednesday night.
