Jakarta (B2B) - Partai Demokrat bakal memperketat persyaratan calon legislatif (caleg) untuk Pemilihan Umum 2014. Mencoret kader yang tersangkut kasus hukum khususnya korupsi serta memprioritaskan seluruh anggota seluruh kader yang saat ini menjadi anggota DPR periode 2009-2014.
Anggota Dewan Pembina Partai Demokrat, Melani Leimena Suharli mengatakan kasus yang menimpa kader Demokrat, Angelina Sondakh maka dipastikan tidak akan dimasukkan ke dalam daftar nama calon legislatif Demokrat di Pemilu 2014.
""Kalau ada kader yang sudah terkena kasus hukum sudah pasti langsung dicoret," kata Melani di Gedung DPR, Jumat (21/12).
Menurutnya, Partai Demokrat akan memprioritaskan seluruh anggota DPR saat ini untuk masuk dalam daftar calon legislatif Pemilu 2014. Demokrat juga masih membuka ruang bagi calon yang berasal dari luar partai.
"Prioritas diberikan pada incumbent. Semua yang ada di DPR itu yang diprioritaskan. Kalau yang baru itu akan diseleksi kembali oleh dewan pembina khususnya bagi yang akan menjadi anggota DPR RI," ujar Melani.
