Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah Indonesia mewajibkan importir telepon seluler (ponsel) di Indonesia wajib membangun pabrik perakitan hingga akhir 2015, sesuai Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 82 tahun 2012 tentang Ketentuan Impor Telepon Seluler yang bertujuan menekan angka impor ponsel.
“Sesuai dengan Permendag, setelah tiga tahun importir akan dievaluasi dan diwajibkan untuk bangun pabrik di Indonesia,” kata Direktur Industri Elektronika dan Telematika Kementerian Perindustrian Ignatius Warsito di Jakarta, Rabu.
Warsito mengatakan, apabila ada importir yang belum memiliki pabrik perakitan pada akhir 2015, maka izin Importir Terdaftarnya (IT) otomatis dicabut oleh Kemendag.
Warsito menambahkan, produsen ponsel asal Korea Selatan Samsung telah berinvestasi US$20 juta untuk membangun pabrik di Indonesia dengan kapasitas hingga satu juta unit ponsel per bulan.
Selain itu, lanjutnya, produsen ponsel asal Tiongkok Oppo juga berinvestasi 30 juta dolar AS untuk mendirikan pabrik di Tangerang dengan kapasitas produksi 500 ribu unit ponsel per bulan, yang siap beroperasi pada Maret 2015.
Menurut Warsito, importir ponsel dapat bekerja sama dengan perusahaan dalam negeri untuk melakukan perakitan ponsel seperti dilakukan produsen ponsel Haier, yang memilih bekerjasama dengan pabrik milik Sanyo guna memproduksi ponsel.

Mr Warsito said, if there are importers that not yet have assembly factory at the end of 2015, then the license of the registered Importers (IT) is automatically revoked by the Ministry of Trade.
Warsito added, South Korean mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has invested of US$20 million to build factory in Indonesia with a capacity up to one million units per month.
In addition he continued, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo also invest amounting 30 million US dollars to set up factory in Tangerang with a production capacity of 500 thousand units of mobile phone per month, which ready for operation in March 2015.
According to Warsito, mobile phone importers can cooperate with domestic companies to undertake the assembly of mobile phone, as conducted by the mobile phone manufacturer Haier, which chose to work with the owned factory of Sanyo to produce mobile phones.
