Jakarta (B2B) - Fakta mengejutkan dikemukakan Balai Besar Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (BBPOM) DKI Jakarta bahwa 21% persen makanan tidak layak dikonsumsi, setelah melakukan penelitian terhadap 759 makanan yang dijajakan di 31 pasar.

Kepala BBPOM DKI, Dewi Prawitasari mengatakan, penelitian makanan di 31 pasar berlangsung Januari - Oktober 2014. Jenis makanan yang tidak layak konsumsi diantaranya bakso, ikan asin, mie, tahu, ikan, otak-otak, kue, daging ayam, gulali, cendol, dan lain sebagainya.

"Makanan-makanan yang dijual itu mengandung formalin, boraks dan rhodamin B. Zat-zat kimia itu sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia. Salah satunya karena bisa menyebabkan kanker," kata Dewi di Jakarta, Sabtu.

Dia mengingatkan kepada warga DKI Jakarta untuk waspada terhadap makanan dan minuman ringan terutama yang tidak memiliki label izin produksi.

"Penelitian serupa dan razia di pasar tradisional akan segera dilakukan," kata Dewi.

Jakarta (B2B) - Around 21 percent of 759 food sample which sold in 31 markets are not eligible to consume. It is based on Jakarta Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) research.

Head of the agency, Dewi Prawitasari said the research was done from January to October 2014. Foods which not eligible to eat are meatball, salty fish, noodle, tofu, fish, chicken meat, cotton candy, and etc.

"Mostly the foods contain formalin, borax, and rhodamin B. It endangers human body and could cause cancer," she said, Saturday (11/22).

She reminds all citizen to be more aware in consuming those foods, especially product without production license.

"Similar research and raid will still be held in all traditional markets," she added.
