Dili (B2B) - Dalam kunjungan ke Dili, Timor Leste, Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) dan Ibu Ani Yudhoyono melakukan tabur bunga di Taman Makam Pahlawan Seroja, tempat para prajurit Indonesia yang gugur di Timor Leste, Senin.

Penghormatan tersebut mengawali rangkaian kunjungan Presiden Yudhoyono beserta rombongan ke Timor Leste pada 25-27 Agustus 2014. Presiden SBY dan Ibu Ani beserta rombongan tiba di TMP Seroja sekitar pukul 15.00 waktu setempat atau pukul 13.00 WIB.

Upacara dimulai dengan pemberian hormat, diteruskan peletakan bunga, yang diakhiri dengan tabur bunga kepada para prajurit yang gugur di Timor Leste, diantaranya Pratu Kabul, Yonif 516 TNI AD yang gugur pada 4 Mei 1985, Kopda Kastun Yonif 512 TNI AD yang gugur pada 22 Juni 1998 dan Pratu Iman Syafei, Yonif 516 TNI AD yang gugur pada 4 Mei 1985.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Presiden Yudhoyono juga mencari sejumlah kolega dan bawahannya saat ia bertugas yang dimakamkan di TMP Seroja,Timor Leste.

Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) sendiri, pernah tiga kali bertugas di Timor Timur yaitu pada 1976-1977, 1979-1980 dan terakhir 1986-1988. (Ant)

Dili (B2B) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono paid tribute to the fallen Indonesian soldiers at Seroja Heroes Cemetery here on Monday, marking the first day of his three-day visit to Timor Leste.

After observing a moment of silence to pay tribute to the fallen heroes, the head of State laid a wreath and scattered flowers on the graves of soldiers such as First Private Kabul, who died on May 4, 1985, and Corporal Kastun, who died on June 22, 1998.

President Yudhoyono, who had been assigned to East Timor in 1976-1977, 1979-1980, and 1986-1988, attempted to find the graves of his friends and subordinates at the cemetery.

After going to the Seroja Heroes Cemetery, President Yudhoyono continued his visit to the Metinaro Heroes Cemetery to lay a wreath to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of Timor Leste.

During his visit to the two cemeteries, President Yudhoyono was accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and a number of cabinet members, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto and State Secretary Minister Sudi Silalahi.
