Jakarta (B2B) - The Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama stated that the rupiah depreciation which reached 14,000 rupiahs does not affect to the Jakarta government system.

"We have no debt to foreign countries. Thereby, there is no significant effect on our government," Governor Purnama said here on Wednesday (8/26).

Mr Purnama said it is probably only having an impact on purchase of official cars, but, it would happen if the rupiah exchange rate continues to weaken.

"Perhaps, car price will be more expensive," he said.
