Jakarta (B2B) - Orang Indonesia rata-rata berbelanja barang konsumsi sebanyak 400 kali dalam setahun. khususnya untuk membeli produk kebutuhan sehari-hari seperti sembilan kebutuhan pokok dan perawatan tubuh. Pengakuan itu dikemukakan oleh 7 ribu keluarga yang diteliti di kawasan perkotaan maupun pedesaan, namun tidak di seluruh Indonesia oleh lembaga riset pemasaran, Kantar Worldpanel.

General Manager Kantar Worldpanel, Lim Soon Lee mengatakan, tingkat konsumsi masyarakat Indonesia sangat tinggi. Dalam setahun, dari 7.000 keluarga yang diteliti, terlihat konsumen Indonesia berbelanja kurang lebih 400 kali setahun.

"Rutinitas berbelanja rakyat Indonesia tergolong tinggi, rata-rata 400 kali dalam setahun. Sehari mereka bisa berbelanja dua kali, ke warung atau ke minimarket," kata Lim di Jakarta, Selasa (7/5).

Tingginya konsumsi, katanya lagi, tidak serta-merta menggambarkan peningkatan daya beli masyarakat. Lim mengatakan, dari 10 merek produk konsumsi paling tinggi se-Indonesia, banyak dibeli karena dipasarkan dalam bentuk sachet.

Riset Kantar Worldpanel Indonesia dilakukan selama satu tahun terhadap 7.000 home panel yang tersebar di urban dan rural area. Namun, tidak semua wilayah Indonsia diambil sebagai lokasi riset.

Populasi yang diriset yaitu Jawa, Sumatera, Kalimantan (tidak termasuk Barat dan Tengah), Sulawesi (hanya di Makasar). Riset tidak mencakup konsumen di Papua, NTT,NTB, Maluku.

Menurut Lim, pemilihan lokasi dilakukan berdasarkan produk domestik bruto (PDB). Jawa dan Sumatera sudah mencapai 80% dari total PDB.
