KETIKA para mantan pemain Manchester United ikut sibuk bersuara lantaran kalah dari klub sekota, Paul Scholes malah menyibukkan diri bertanding berjarak ribuan mil dari negeri asalnya.
Bukannya duduk menonton bagaimana dominasi City di Old Trafford, Scholes malah turun bertanding pada laga persahabatan di Beirut.
Mantan pemain internasional Inggris itu bergabung sebagai pemain tengah memperkuat tim Legends menghadapi mantan bintang bola Lebanon, the Lebanese Football Stars.
Scholes memilih untuk melewatkan derby untuk mengambil bagian dalam pertandingan, yang juga menampilkan mantan bintang Real Madrid Luis Figo dan Roberto Carlos.

Instead of sitting through a dominant City display at Old Trafford, Scholes was putting on a show of his own in the unfashionable setting of Beirut.
The ex-England international was in traditionally feisty form as he mixed it in midfield for a Legends side in a friendly clash with the Lebanese Football Stars.
Scholes chose to miss the derby to take part in the match, which also featured former Real Madrid stars Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos.
The event - dubbed the Game of Legends - was staged at the Fouad Shahab Stadium in the Lebanese capital and ended 4-3 to some of the early 21st century's top footballers.
Ex-Barcelona captain Carles Puyol and Marco Materazzi patrolled the defence, German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann donned the gloves and David Trezeguet led the line for the Legends.
Trezeguet - whose golden goal won the European Championship for France in 2000 - was in the sharp-shooting form which saw him terrorise defences in Serie A during his time with Juventus.
