Puluhan calon jemaah haji berkumpul di Masjidil Haram setelah senja untuk persiapan melaksanakan rukun haji, ibadah umat Muslim sedunia yang menuntut kemampuan fisik.
Islam mewajibkan setiap Muslim dewasa untuk menunaikan ibadah haji sekali dalam seumur hidup selama mereka mampu secara fisik dan finansial untuk melaksanakan ibadah wajib yang mahal dan menuntut kemampuan lahir dan batin yang sempurna, seperti dilansir MailOnline.
Calon jemaah haji wajib mengenakan ihram berwarna putih yang tidak dijahit, selama menjalani ibadah haji di tanah suci Mekkah.
Setiap tahun, umat Muslim dari sekitar 160 negara berkumpul di kota suci Mekkah dan lokasi lain di bagian barat Arab Saudi untuk menunaikan perjalanan suci ibadah haji.
Ketika umat Muslim mencapai Masjidil Haram, mereka wajib berjalan mengelilingi Ka'bah yang sebanyak tujuh kali dengan arah yang berlawanan dengan arah jarum jam - sebagai tempat paling suci dalam Islam.
