Barca kalah agregat 2-1 atas rival utama di liga domestik, La Liga, Spanyol sehingga gagal mencapai empat besar kompetisi klub top Eropa untuk pertama kalinya dalam tujuh tahun, seperti dilansir Mail Online.
Koke mencetak satu-satunya gol pada pertandingan di Stadion Vicente Calderon yang mengantar Atletico melaju ke semi-final dengan menekuk skuad asuhan Gerardo Martino.
"Kami tetap memiliki peluang setelah Atletico memimpin laga, mereka memiliki peluang juga, tapi jika kami bisa mencetak gol tentu hasilnya akan berbeda," kata Martino.

'We had our chances after Atletico had taken the lead, they had chances too, but if we could have scored it would have been a different game,' said Martino.
His struggling side will now turn their attentions to their domestic campaign as they fight it out with Atletico and Real Madrid for the La Liga title.
Martino added: 'The team isn’t doing well now. We will move forward in the Liga and the Cup.
'The most important thing is to continue competing, we have a decisive game in Granada and next Wednesday we have the Cup final.'
