Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah RI memastikan pasokan cabai merah dan cabai keriting periode Juni hingga Agustus 2016 memadai, pasokan cabai merah besar pada Juli mencapai 99.519 ton dan kebutuhan konsumen 77.539 ton, sementara pasokan cabai rawit merah pada Juli 79.415 ton dan kebutuhan konsumen sekitar 55.150 ton.

Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura, Kementerian Pertanian RI (Kementan) Spudnik Sujono mengatakan pasokan cabai merah pada Juni mencapai 102.235 ton dan Agustus 93.111 ton, dan kebutuhan Juni 78.249 ton sementara Agustus 75.761 ton.

"Total pasokan cabai merah secara nasional pada 2016 diperkirakan mencapai 1.145.716 ton dan kebutuhan konsumen sekitar 914.827 ton," kata Spudnik Sujono di kantornya di Jakarta pada Jumat (1/7).

Dia menambahkan, produksi cabai merah pada Juni tercatat tertinggi yang mencapai 107.922 ton, sementara Juli dan Agustus diperkirakan mencapai 105.055 ton dan 98.292 ton. Sentra utama produksi adalah Jawa Barat meliputi empat kabupaten: Bandung, Ciamis, Garut dan Sukabumi, untuk Jawa Tengah (Magelang, Temanggung dan Pati) dan Jawa Timur di Kediri.

Menurut Spudnik, pasokan cabai rawit merah pada Juni 2016 mencapai 82.300 ton dengan kebutuhan 55.686 ton, sementara Agustus 2016 mencapai 78.367 ton dan kebutuhan 53.810 ton.

"Secara nasional pasokan cabai rawit merah diperkirakan mencapai 843.305 ton, dan tingkat kebutuhan hanya 650.003 ton," kata Spudnik.

Produksi cabai rawit merah tertinggi pada Juni 2016 yang mencapai 86.878 ton, sementara produksi Juli dan Agustus diperkirakan mencapai 83.833 ton dan 82.727 ton. Sentra utama produksi di empat kabupaten di Jawa Barat yakni Garut, Majalengka, Sukabumi dan Bandung, untuk Jawa Tengah (Magelang dan Temanggung) dan Jawa Timur (Kediri dan Probolinggo).

"The total supply of red chilli nationally in 2016 was estimated at 1,145,716 tonnes and consumer needs around 914,827 tonnes," Sujono said here on Friday (7/1).

He notes, red chili production in June was the highest that reaches 107,922 tonnes, while July and August is estimated to 105,055 tonnes and 98,292 tonnes.
