Jakarta (B2B) - Kementerian Pertanian memastikan subsidi pupuk tetap ada tahun ini dan tahun depan, namun pemerintah akan mengurangi subsidi pupuk secara bertahap setiap tahun hingga 2015.
"Tahun ini disediakan subsidi pupuk sebesar Rp21,05 triliun dibagi untuk subsidi tahun Rp2014 sebesar Rp18,05 triliun dan Rp3 triliun untuk membayar kekurangan subsidi tahun 2012," kata Direktur Pupuk Pestisida, Ditjen Prasarana dan Sarana Pertanian (PSP), Kementerian Pertanian, Muhrizal Sarwani kepada pers di Jakarta, Selasa.
Turut hadir Sekretaris Ditjen PSP, Abdul Madjid. Direktur Perluasan dan Pengelolaan Lahan Ditjen PSP, Prasetyo Nuchsin.
Dia menambahkan, dengan anggaran tersebut serta memperhitungkan Harga Eceran Tertinggi (HET) tetap dan Harga Pokok Pembelian (HPP) yang digunakan di tahun 2012 maka volume pupuk yang dapat disediakan tahun 2014 adalah 7,78 juta ton dengan rincian Urea 3,42 juta ton, SP-36 0,76 juta ton, ZA 0,80 juta ton, NPK 2 juta ton dan pupuk organik 0,80 juta ton.
"Jadi subsidi pupuk memang harus ada. Tetapi untuk mengurangi beban APBN pemerintah ini HET harus segera mulai dinaikkan. Saat ini HET yang diberlakukan masih dari tahun 2012 sebesar Rp 1.800/Kg," kata Muhrizal.
Menurut Muhrizal, wacana penghapusan subsidi pupuk masih perlu dipertimbangkan. Dia menegaskan, subsidi pupuk tetap harus ada untuk membantu meringankan biaya produksi petani.

He added, taking into account the highest retail price (HET), and the cost of goods purchase (HPP)
of 2012 so the volume of fertilizer subsidy this year reached 7.78 million tons, with 3.42 million tons of urea, SP-36 around 0.76 million tons, 0.80 million tons of ZA, NPK 2 million tons and 0.80 million tons of organic fertilizer.
"The fertilizer subsidy should be preserved., But to reduce the burden on the government budget, highest retail price should rise. Currently the price is still based by 2012 about IDR 1,800 per kg," Muhrizal said.
According to him, discourse elimination of fertilizer subsidies still need to be considered, because it aims to reduce the production cost of the farmers.
