Mentan Targetkan Serapan Gabah Sampai Juni Capai 4 Juta Ton

Luwu Timur, Sulawesi Selatan (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian RI Andi Amran Sulaiman menargetkan penyerapan gabah oleh Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog) mencapai empat juta ton hingga dua bulan ke depan, sementara saat ini Bulog telah menyerap dua juta ton gabah di seluruh Indonesia dengan harga rata-rata Rp3.800 per kg.
"Waktu dua bulan ke depan, Insya Allah target tiga sampai empat juta ton bisa tercapai di kisaran harga Rp3.800 per kg," kata Mentan Amran Sulaiman kepada pers pada Rabu (4/5) di Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.
Menurutnya, dalam upaya percepatan penyerapan gabah petani maka Pemerintah RI melalui Kementerian Pertanian membentuk Tim Serap Gabah Petani untuk mendukung Bulog untuk membeli gabah langsung dari petani dan bukan dari pedagang.
"Tim tersebut didukung Bulog, TNI AD, Polri, penyuluh pertanian, dan dinas pertanian untuk mengawal percepatan penyerapan gabah petani. Fokus pada sentra produksi beras seperti Sulsel, Jateng, Jabar, Jatim, NTB, Lampung, dan Sumsel," kata Mentan.
Panen Raya
Mentan berada di Luwu Timur untuk melakukan panen raya di Desa Balirejo, Kecamatan Angkona sekaligus memantau hasil penyaluran bantuan pemerintah pada 2015 kepada petani setempat, apakah tepat sasaran atau tidak.
Saat tiba di lokasi panen, Mentan disambut hangat dan meriah oleh para petani dan warga setempat kemudian menguji coba combine harvester. Tampak hadir Bupati Luwu Timur, Thorig Husler; Anggota DPR RI, Markus Nari; Bupati Luwu Utara, Indah Putri Indriani; dan Ketua Tim Sergap Sterad wilayah Sulselbar, Brigjen TNI Muslimin Akib.
"Alhamdulillah setelah mengecek di empat kabupaten ternyata sudah diterima oleh para petani dan program akselerasi yang kami lakukan juga berjalan baik," kata Mentan.
Dia mengapresiasi Luwu Timur karena produksi padinya selalu surplus melebihi target yang ditetapkan pemerintah sebesar 250.000 ton, dengan produksi rata-rata 9,92 ton per hektar dari luas tanam sekitar 38.000 hektar seperti yang dipaparkan oleh Bupati Thorig Husler.
"Luwu memiliki keunggulan komparatif yang tidak dimiliki daerah lain karena nyaris tidak pernah dilanda musim kering sehingga lahannya sangat tepat untuk pertanian. Pemerintah juga berniat mengembangkan potensi hortikultura di sini," kata Mentan.
Luwu Timur, South Sulawesi (B2B) - Indonesian Agriculture Minister, Andi Amran Sulaiman Andi Amran Sulaiman targeting purchasing rice grains from farmers by Indonesian Logistics Agency (Bulog) reached four million tonnes in the next two months, while current the Bulog has bought two million tons of rice grain across Indonesia in the average price of 3,800 rupiah per kg.
"In the next two months, God willing, could reach the target of three to four million tonnes in the range of 3,800 rupiah per kg," Minister Sulaiman told the press on Wednesday (5/4) in East Luwu regency of South Sulawesi province.
According to him, in order to accelerate the purchase of grain from farmers, the Indonesian Government through the Agriculture Ministry established a special team for support the Bulog to buy from farmers rather than the merchants.
"The special team is supported by the Bulog, the army, the police, agricultural extension workers and agricultural services to oversee acceleration of purchasing rice grains from farmers. Focus on rice production centers such as South Sulawesi, Central Java, West Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, Lampung and South Sumatra," Mr Sulaiman said.
The Rice Harvest
Minister Sulaiman working visit in East Luwu regency to rice harvest in Balirejo village of Angkona district and also monitor results of government aid distribution in 2015 for local farmers, whether targeted or not.
When he arrived, Mr Sulaiman was warmly welcomed and festive by farmers and local residents then do the rice harvest by combine harvester. It was attended by the Luwu Timur Regent, Thorig Husler; member of parliament, Markus Nari; Regent of Luwu Utara, Lovely Daughter Indriani; and chairman of the special teams in South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi, Brigadier General Muslimin Akib.
"Alhamdulillah after checking in four regency was already accepted by the farmers, and the acceleration program is also running smoothly," Minister Sulaiman said.
He appreciates the East Luwu because rice production is always surplus exceeded the government´s target of 250,000 tons, with average production reached 9.92 tons per hectare from planting area of approximately 38,000 hectares as described by Regent Thorig Husler.
"Luwu has a comparative advantage that no other regions because almost never ravaged the dry season so the land is ideal for farming. The government also intends to develop the potential of horticulture," he said.
