Petani Mangga Pasuruan Didorong Antisipasi Impor

Pasuruan, Jawa Timur (B2B) - Potensi produksi mangga di Pasuruan, Jawa Timur tidak luput dari perhatian Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura, Kementerian Pertanian dengan meninjau perkebunan mangga  jenis Gadung Klonal 21 pada lahan seluas tiga hektar milik Santoso di Desa Oro-oro Ombo Wetan, Kecamatan Rembang.

Santoso mengatakan pekebunan mangga miliknya ditanami 100 pohon mangga per hektar atau total 300 pohon, dengan produksi maksimal tiga kwintal per pohon, dengan omset Rp150 juta sekali panen dari hasil penjualan Rp25.000 per kilogram, sementara panen mangga berlangsung sepanjang tahun.

"Hampir seluruh mangga saya matang di pohon sehingga disukai para pelanggan, yang bukan hanya datang dari Pasuruan dan kabupaten lain di Jawa Timur, tapi dari  Medan di Sumatera Utara," kata Santoso saat berdialog dengan Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura, Spudnik Sudjono di Pasuruan pada Kamis (22/10).

Spudnik Sudjono berada di Pasuruan dalam rangkaian kegiatan Press Visit Ditjen Hortikultura di Jawa Timur untuk memantau dan mendorong peningkatan produksi sentra bawang merah, cabe merah, dan buah-buahan untuk mendukung pencapaian swasembada hortikultura. Tampak hadir Direktur Tanaman Buah dan Obat, Yanuardi.

"Pemerintah selalu mendukung produksi perkebunan milik rakyat khususnya di sektor hortikultura untuk meningkatkan produksi, khususnya mengantisipasi produk buah-buahan impor yang merugikan petani kita. Produksi melimpah didukung distribusi, dan pemasaran yang baik akan mendorong petani untuk terus berproduksi tanpa harus takut merugi," kata Spudnik.

Komitmen Spudnik terhadap produk hortikultura lokal teruji ketika para petani tomat di Garut, Jawa Barat meradang lantaran hargamjual tomat melorot hingga Rp2.000 per kg pada akhir Juni lalu, dia pun menyodorkan solusi dengan Torakur atau tomat rasa kurma, untuk memberi nilai tambah produk tomat sehingga tidak dibiarkan membusuk.

Santoso said his mangoes plantations have been planted 100 mangoes trees per hectare or a total of 300 trees, with a maximum production of three quintals per tree, with a turnover of 150 million once the harvest, the sale price 25,000 rupiah per kilogram, while the mangoes harvest takes place throughout the year.

"Almost all my mango ripen on the tree so popular among customers, who not only came from Pasuruan and other districts in East Java, but from Medan in North Sumatra," Santoso said during a dialogue with Director General of Horticulture, Spudnik Sudjono here on Thursday (10/22).
