Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah RI menetapkan lima provinsi surplus beras yakni Sulawesi Selatan, Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, Sumatera Utara, dan Nusa Tenggara Timur mendapat target serapan beras lebih tinggi, didukung dana penyertaan modal negara (PMN) kepada Perum Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog) sekitar Rp3 triliun.
Keputusan tersebut dikemukakan Menteri Pertanian RI, Andi Amran Sulaiman di sela kegiatan Open House di kediaman pribadi Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla di Makassar belum lama ini, Saat itu Mentan melakukan pertemuan dadakan dengan para pejabat terkait di Kementerian Pertanian RI, Divisi Regional Bulog Sulawesi Selatan, Kodam VII Wirabuana, dan Pemprov Sulselbar.
"Sulsel surplus beras tiga juta ton tahun ini, maka target serapannya naik menjadi satu juta ton dari sebelumnya 500 ribu ton. Saat ini stok beras nasional per hari sekitar 1,7 juta ton. Target sampai akhir tahun empat juta ton, dan kita mau akselerasi dalam dua bulan ini menjadi dua juta ton," kata Menteri Amran Sulaiman yang didampingi Staf Khusus Bidang Kebijakan Sukriansyah S Latief kepada pers di Makassar.
Menurutnya, serapan beras tersebut akan dilakukan Bulog melalui sinergi dengan Kementerian Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) untuk membantu membuka akses kepada para petani menjual beras sesuai Harga Pembelian Pemerintah (HPP), juga melibatkan prajurit TNI-AD hingga ke pelosok pedesaan.
"Contohnya di NTT, para bintara pembina desa atau Babinsa cukup berhasil membantu petani di pedesaan, dan dampaknya serapan beras Di NTT naik 300 persen," kata Amran Sulaiman melalui pernyataan tertulis dari Humas Kementan yang diterima B2B pada Senin malam.

According to him, Bulog step through a synergy with the Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry to help open access to farmers sell rice appropriate Government Purchasing Price or HPP, also involving the Army soldiers to reach remote rural areas.
