Jakarta (B2B) - Kementerian Pertanian RI meneken nota kesepahaman dengan Lembaga Penerbangan dan Antariksa Nasional (Lapan) untuk memanfaatkan citra satelit dalam melakukan pemetaan lahan pertanian sehingga diperoleh data akurat terkait lahan persawahan, perkebunan, hortikultura, pemetaan infrastruktur jaringan irigasi, dan jalan usaha tani.

Kerjasama diteken oleh Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pertanian, Hari Priyono dan Sekretaris Utama Lapan, Ignatius Loyola Arisdiyo di Jakarta pada Kamis (16/6).

"Kerjasama Kementan dan Lapan untuk mendukung peningkatan produksi pangan di seluruh Indonesia dengan memperbaiki kualitas data pangan seperti padi mulai dari fase penggenangan, tanam, vegetative, generative, hingga panen, dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan citra Landsat-8," kata Hari Priyono kepada pers.

Citra satelit Lapan yang akan dimanfaatkan Kementan antara lain Citralkonos, GeoEye, Quickbird, WorldView-1, WorldView-2, dan Pleides. Sementara citra Landsat, NOAA, dan MODIS digunakan untuk peramalan fase tanaman padi.

Hasil pemantauan dari citra satelit milik Lapan ini sangat bermanfaat sebagai  early warning system dan data untuk pengambilan keputusan tentang kebijakan pangan nasional.

"Citra satelit Lapan pun dapat digunakan untuk merancang kegiatan teknis seperti program percepatan tanam, estimasi kebutuhan benih dan pupuk, kegiatan pascapanen dan perkiraan pasokan pangan," kata Hari.

Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesia´s Agriculture Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (Lapan) utilizes satellite imagery in mapping agricultural land to get accurate data related to rice cultivation, plantation, horticulture, irrigation infrastructure mapping, and farm roads, according to the senior official.

The cooperation was signed by the Secretary General at the ministry, Hari Priyono and Lapan´s Principal Secretary, Ignatius Loyola Arisdiyo here on Thursday (6/16).

"This cooperation is to support the improvement of food production throughout Indonesia to improve data foods such as rice from the phase land preparation, planting, vegetative, generative, until harvesting utilizes satellite imagery such as of the Landsat 8," Priyono told reporters.

Satellite imagery will be used by the ministry as Citralkonos, GeoEye, QuickBird, WorldView-1, WorldView-2, and Pleides. While satellite images of the Landsat, NOAA, and MODIS used for forecasting phase of the rice plant.

The results of the monitoring of satellite imagery is useful as an early warning system, and decision-making on national food policy.

"Satellite imagery can also be used to design technical activities such as planting acceleration program, the estimated needs of seeds and fertilizers, post-harvest activities and estimates of food supplies," Priyono said.
