Jakarta (B2B) - Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura di Kementerian Pertanian bersama Perum Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog) berupaya menekan harga cabai yang terus melambung, dengan menggelar Operasi Pasar di Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, untuk menekan harga cabai rawit yang melambung hingga Rp 50.000/kg di pasar-pasar di Jabodetabek.
Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura, Spudnik Sudjono menyanggah kabar bahwa pemicu kenaikan harga cabai akibat produksi cabai di sentra-sentra produksi menurun akibat kekeringan dilanda kemarau panjang. Dia pun bersama jajarannya memantau langsung ke sentra produksi cabai di Jawa Tengah mulai dari Magelang, Pati, Rembang hingga ke Blora, dan ternyata didapati fakta lonjakan harga cabai akibat ulah pengepul dan spekulan akibat tata niaga yang panjang.
"Ini buktinya, kami dan Bulog hari ini membawa cabai segar hampir 500 kg dalam 11 karung yang dibeli dari petani yang tetap menguntungkan mereka, dan kami jual ke konsumen rumah tangga hanya Rp40 ribu per kgm" kata Spudnik saat memantau Operasi Pasar yang dipusatkan di Agro Outlet Pasar Induk Kramat Jati.
Tampak hadir Kepala Badan Ketahanan Pangan (BKP) Kementan, Gardjita Budi; Staf Ahli Menteri Bidang Perdagangan dan Hubungan Internasional, Hasanudin Ibrahim; Sekretaris Ditjen Hortikultura, Yazid Taufik.
Spudnik berharap harga cabai tidak pedas lagi setelah pihaknya mengatur manajemen tanam dan menyederhanakan rantai pasok yang tetap menguntungkan petani tanpa mengabaikan kepentingan konsumen rumah tangga.
"Contohnya di sini, di Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, kami masih menemukan cabai rawit merah harganya di atas Rp50 ribu per kilogram, sehingga cabai rawit merah yang kami bawa dari Garut ini kami jual Rp40 ribu per kg," kata Spudnik.
Pekan lalu pada Sabtu (15/8) kegiatan serupa digelar di tempat yang sama dipimpin Spudnik Sudjono dan Direktur Utama Perum Bulog, Djarot Kusumayakti. Saat itu, harga cabai rawit merah dijual di kisaran Rp20 ribu hingga Rp40 ribu per kg, untuk mengimbangi harga di pasaran yang mencapai Rp60 ribu per kg.

Mr Sudjono adding it would regulate plant management, and simplify the supply chain, which remain profitable for farmers without the burden of household consumers.
"For example here in Kramat Jati Central Market, we still found the fresh red chillies the prices above 50 thousand rupiah per kilogram, and chili for the bazaar we bought from Garut in West Java, we sell only 40 thousand rupiah per kg," he said.
Last week on Saturday (15/8) held similar bazaar in Kramat Jati market was led by Mr Sudjono with President Director of Bulog, Djarot Kusumayakti. At that time, the price of red chili sauce sold in the range of 20,000 to 40,000 rupiah per kg, in order to suppress the price from merchants who soared up to 60,000 rupiah per kg.
