Jakarta (B2B) - Penanganan kasus Raffi Ahmad dan kawan-kawan terkait dugaan penyalahgunaan narkoba ternyata mengantarkan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) menemukan jenis baru narkoba.
"Jangan lihat dua ganja. Bicara temuan baru ini sangat penting dan ini menjadi trigger. Kita akan informasikan ke seluruh jajaran kepolisian agar mewaspadai barang ini," kata Deputi Pemberantasan BNN, Benny Mamoto kepada pers di Jakarta, Kamis (31/1).
Benny mengungkapkan, selama ini BNN hanya fokus pada peredaran narkoba, namun dengan kasus ini pihaknya menemukan sesuatu yang baru. Zat-zat baru tersebut juga menjadi ranah yang harus diperhatikan perkembangannya oleh BNN.
"Dari temuan ini menunjukkan peredaran ini sudah meluas. Ternyata ada jenis lain beredar yang dikonsumsi anak-anak muda kita. Dan efeknya lebih keras," tegasnya.
Dia menambahkan, jenis narkotika baru benama chatinone ini sedang dievaluasi pihak BNN. Hasil laboratorium dan kajian hukum nantinya akan menentukan juga nasib Raffi Ahmad.
"Kesimpulan kita ambil hari ini setelah kita mendengar keterangan ahli. Kalau nanti ahli farmatolog bicara, hukumnya bicara, baru kita bicara."
