Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian Police Watch (IPW) mengapresiasi langkah Badan Reserse dan Kriminal (Bareskrim) Mabes Polri yang hari ini, Senin (9/11) memeriksa Direktur Utama PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II) RJ Lino untuk mengusut dugaan korupsi di BUMN tersebut.

Ketua Presidium IPW, Neta S Pane mengharapkan para elit politik di pemerintahan Presiden Joko Widodo tidak lagi mengintervensi Polri, terutama jika Polri menahan RJ Lino sehingga kasus korupsi di Pelindo II dapat segera dituntaskan.

Menurutnya, kekhawatiran terhadap intervensi elit penguasa terkait pernyataan RJ Lino yang dinilainya arogan dengan menyatakan: "Saya di-support dimana-mana, akhirnya polisi itu diganti, bukan saya."

"Pernyataan tersebut bernuansa arogansi yang melecehkan Polri, yang saat ini berusaha keras melakukan penegakan hukum dan memberantas korupsi, terutama di Pelindo II," kata Neta melalui pernyataan tertulisnya pada Senin (9/11).

Dia menyesalkan pernyataan tersebut dan dinilai sebagai pembunuhan karakter terhadap institusi Polri maupun pihak yang dituding dalam pernyataan 'polisi itu yang diganti."

Menurutnya, IPW berharap Polri segera menuntaskan kasus dugaan korupsi di Pelindo II agar Polri tidak dilecehkan lagi, dan dituduh mengada-ada atau sekadar melakukan rekayasa kasus hukum.

Chairman of Presidium IPW, Neta S Pane expects the political elite of President Joko Widodo administration no longer intervene the National Police or Polri foremost if the police detain RJ Lino, so that cases of corruption in Pelindo II can be resolved.

According to him, IPW concerns related to the statement of Mr. Lino accused arrogance after saying: "I was supported ubiquitous, the police were replaced, not me."

"The statement was arrogant, harassing the Polri are currently trying to enforce the law, and the eradication of corruption, foremost in Pelindo II," said Pane through a written statement on Monday (11/9).

He deplored the statement and he judged as a character assassination of the Polri institution, as well as those accused by the phrase 'the police being replaced."

According to him, IPW hope the police immediately resolve allegations of corruption in Pelindo II so that the police no longer harassed.
