Jakarta (B2B) - Smart Card is distributed in the form of ATM card issued by DKI Bank which is running well. Students’ status is determined based on the type of card, platinum card for state school, silver card for private school bearing similar value, Rp 240,000 for student of senior high/vocational school monthly.
Executive Director of DKI Bank, Eko Budiwiyono, says that the card is the first time implementation and it has been tested in ATM machines of DKI Bank and it goes well.
“The card should be safely kept and used by student whose name is written on the card. In a separate envelope, there is a secret PIN number, do not let other people know your PIN and take advantage of your card. If you do not withdraw your money this month, it will remain in your account and you can use it in the following month. The bank will not charge any cost at all,” said Eko in the launching event of the card by Governor Joko Widodo in Yappenda (Foundation of Education and Teaching for Adult) in Kebonbawang village, Tanjungpriok sub district, North Jakarta on Saturday (1/12).
The Governor said that the launching of the card is for the first time in the country and it has been tested in ATMs of DKI Bank and it turns out well.
“This month, there are 6,000 additional cards. Next year, it will be about 332,000 cards launched for private and state schools, but mostly are for private schools. For senior high and vocational schools, the amount is Rp 240,000, for junior high school, it is Rp 210,000, and for elementary school it is Rp 180,000.
“It is not for school fee, but it is for buying uniforms, shoes,
