Jakarta (B2B) - Direktur Konstruksi dan Energi Baru Terbarukan PT PLN (Persero), Nasri Sebayang mengatakan wilayah Jawa-Bali berpotensi mengalami krisis pasokan listrik jika proyek kabel transmisi bawah laut Jawa-Sumatera telat terealisasi menjadi lebih dari 2017.

"Proyek kabel transmisi tersebut kini masih menunggu kepastian pendanaan dari pemerintah yakni dari penerusan pinjaman luar negeri (Sub Loan Agreement/SLA)," kata Nasri Sebayang di Jakarta.

Menurut dia, sampai saat ini baru Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) yang sudah menyatakan kesiapan untuk mendanai proyek pipa sepanjang 700 km tersebut.

Sebelumnya diberitakan, proyek kabel transmisi dirancang bertegangan tinggi 500 kV dengan arus searah (high voltage direct current/ HVDC).

"Jika proyek kabel ini tuntas, diperkirakan bisa mengalirkan listrik dari Sumatera ke Jawa sebesar 3.000 mega watt (MW)," kata Nasri.

Jakarta (B2B) - Director of Construction and Renewable Energy PT PLN (Persero), Nasri Sebayang stated Java-Bali areas are potential to experience power crisis if the Java-Sumatra submarine transmission cable project is late to be realized or excedeed the 2017 target.

"The transmission cable project is still waiting for confirmation of funding from the government through channeling Sub Loan Agreement (SLA)," Nasri Sebayang said in Jakarta.

According to him, until now only the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has expressed its readiness to fund the pipeline project along 700 km.

Previously reported, transmission cable project is designed to have 500 kV high-voltage with high voltage direct current (HVDC).

"If the cable project is completed, it is expected to supply power from Sumatra to Java amounting to 3,000 mega watts (MW)," Sebayang said.
