Jakarta [B2B] - Pemerintah Indonesia kembali menyiapkan gelaran balap kelas dunia MotoGP di Sirkuit Internasional Pertamina Mandalika untuk kalender balap 2023.
Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif [Menparekraf] Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno mengatakan bahwa perhelatan seri MotoGP di Indonesia tersebut akan sangat menarik karena ketatnya persaingan antarpembalap.
“Jadi MotoGP ini kali kedua Indonesia menjadi tuan rumah dan akan menjadi sangat menarik karena di penghujung musim balapan kali ini perbedaan angka antara dua pembalap tertinggi itu sangat dekat,” ujar Sandi dalam keterangan persnya, di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Rabu [04/10], usai mengikuti rapat terbatas [ratas] yang dipimpin oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo [Jokowi].
Hingga seri ke-14, puncak klasemen MotoGP diisi oleh pembalap Italia Francesco Bagnaia dari Ducati dengan 319 poin diikuti pembalap Spanyol Jorge Martin dengan selisih hanya 3 poin. MotoGP Indonesia sendiri merupakan seri ke-15 MotoGP 2023 dan akan digelar di Sirkuit Internasional Pertamina Mandalika, Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat pada 13-15 Oktober 2023.
Menparekraf mengatakan bahwa MotoGP Mandalika memiliki dampak ekonomi yang signifikan hingga mencapai Rp3,5 triliun. Untuk itu, ia meminta dukungan dari seluruh masyarakat Indonesia, termasuk dari Presiden Joko Widodo.
"Tadi kami mengundang Bapak Presiden dan juga seluruh masyarakat Indonesia untuk bisa meramaikan, mendukung MotoGP Mandalika yang dampak ekonominya tahun lalu hampir mencapai Rp3,5 triliun. Ini yang kita harapkan mendapatkan perhatian luar biasa bukan hanya di Indonesia tapi juga dunia dan secara kawasan perhelatan MotoGP ini tentunya sangat menarik," jelasnya.
Di dalam ratas, kata Sandi, Presiden juga meminta jajaran terkait terutama Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif [Kemenparekraf] serta Kementerian Badan Usaha Milik Negara [BUMN] untuk lebih mengembangkan destinasi-destinasi pariwisata baru.
"Destinasi-destinasi yang sudah mature, sudah mapan seperti Nusa Dua itu bisa dilakukan sebuah inovasi-inovasi agar tercapai ruang-ruang bagi pemerintah untuk mengembangkan lima destinasi super prioritas lainnya. Mungkin nanti setelah kita bisa mendapatkan inovasi-inovasi di pendanaan untuk Nusa Dua, ini bisa digunakan untuk pengembangan Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, Likupang," ujarnya.
Sandi pun menekankan pentingnya sinergi semua pemangku kepentingan dalam mengembangkan destinasi pariwisata tersebut.
"Harapannya juga lima destinasi super prioritas dan ada beberapa lembaga yang sudah mengelola seperti badan otorita yang ada di Kemenparekraf ini bisa lebih bersinergi sehingga akan lebih banyak investasi karena tahun ini tema dari Hari Pariwisata Dunia atau World Tourism Day adalah Investment and Green Tourism," tandasnya.

"This is what we hope will get extraordinary attention not only in Indonesia but also in the world and regionally, this MotoGP event is certainly very interesting," he explained.
In the meeting, said Sandi, the President also asked related officials, especially the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to further develop new tourism destinations.
"Destinations that are already mature , already established, like Nusa Dua, can carry out innovations to create space for the government to develop five other super priority destinations. "Maybe later, after we can get innovations in funding for Nusa Dua, this can be used for the development of Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, Likupang," he said.
Sandi also emphasized the importance of synergy among all stakeholders in developing this tourism destination.
"We also hope that the five super priority destinations and several institutions that have managed them, such as the authority bodies in the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, can have more synergy so that there will be more investment because this year the theme of World Tourism Day is Investment and Green Tourism," he said.
