Rosberg finished the Championship Standings with 385 points, while Hamilton picked up 380 and Red Bull Racing's Ricciardo was in third with 256.
In the Abu Dhabi race itself, Hamilton came first with a time of 1hrs 38mins 04.013secs, Rosberg was runner-up with 1:38:04.452 and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel came third in a time of 1:38:04.856.
The 29-year-old German racer Vettel came fourth in the overall standings.
