SIR RINGO dianugerahi gelar ksatria atas kontribusinya terhadap musik sebagai drummer The Beatles.
Liverpudlian, sebutan bagi sosok yang dicintai warga Liverpool, tampak sangat gembira saat tiba di Bandara Internasional Los Angeles pada Jumat (kiri).

SIR RINGO has been awarded a knighthood for his contribution to music as the drummer for The Beatles.
The much-loved Liverpudlian looked understandably delighted as he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday (left).

In 1969, however, Lennon famously wrote a letter to the Queen rejecting his award. He explained it was because Britain was ´in the Nigeria-Biafra thing´ and had supported the US ´in Vietnam´.
This morning Paul McCartney congratulated Sir Ringo on his knighthood. He shared a snap of the pair on Twitter (right), writing: ´Huge congrats Sir Ringo! Sir Richard Starkey has a nice ring to it. Best drummer best pal!´
