Los Angeles (B2B) - Band indie pop asal New York, FUN., keluar sebagai pemenang Grammy Awards kategori "Best New Artist". Kategori ini merupakan salah satu yang bergengsi di Grammy yang berlangsung Minggu waktu setempat.
FUN. bersaing cukup ketat dengan band indie-folk The Lumineers, grup blues-rock Alabama Shakes, penyanyi R&B Frank Ocean, dengan penyanyi country Hunter Hayes, seperti dilansir Mail Online.
Trio FUN. terdiri dari Andrew Dost, Nate Ruess, dan Jack Antonoff. Mereka masuk ke tangga lagu tahun lalu melalui single mereka "We Are Young" dan debut album "Some Nights".
Mereka juga menang dalam kategori "Song of the Year" berkat "We Are Young".
Grammy Awards diselenggarkan di Los Angeles dan disiarkan di televisi.
Los Angeles - FUN. was named Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, one of the top prizes on music's biggest night.
The indie-pop band beat out stiff competition from indie-folk band The Lumineers, blues-rock group Alabama Shakes, R&B singer Frank Ocean and country singer Hunter Hayes.
New York trio FUN., formed by Andrew Dost, Nate Ruess and Jack Antonoff, stormed onto the pop charts in 2012 with their single "We Are Young" and debut album "Some Nights."
The band also won the Grammy for Song of the Year for "We are Young."
The Grammy Awards were handed out during a televised ceremony in Los Angeles.
