The Jimi Hendrix Experience (kiri atas) merilis album pertama mereka hanya dua minggu sebelum tampil konser, Cream (kanan atas) masih setahun lagi dari rilis single hit Wheels of Fire, dan Pink Floyd (kiri bawah) berjarak beberapa bulan dari rilis album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
Di bagian atas tiket konser, Geno Washington & Ram Jam Band (kanan bawah), yang kemudian hari mengaku dia belum pernah melihat yang seperti festival satu hari seperti dilansir MailOnline.
GLASTONBURY and Reading festivals are famous for their huge crowds, lavish production, and massive stages, but can trace their history back to a modest auction house in Spalding in the summer of 1967.
Barbecue ´67, as it was called, promised ´ultraviolet lighting´, ´non-stop dancing´ and ´hot dog´s all for just £1. On the bill were some of the greatest acts of all time, just before they became famous.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience (top left) released their first album just two weeks before playing, Cream (top right) were still a year away from making Wheels of Fire, and Pink Floyd (bottom left) were months away from publishing The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
At the top of the bill was Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band (bottom right), who later said he had never seen anything like the one-day festival.
