Jakarta (B2B) - Ada kegiatan yang tidak biasa pada operasi pasar cabai di Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur pada Sabtu (22/8), pasalnya Spudnik Sudjono sebagai pejabat eselon satu di Kementerian Pertanian RI tidak segan memasarkan produk manisan bernama Torakur alias tomat rasa kurma, manisan yang dibuat dari tomat.
Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura ini pun membuka kotak berisi puluhan Torakur lalu membagikan kepada para wartawan agar turut mempromosikan manisan dari tomat tersebut demi kepentingan petani tomat khususnya dari Garut, Jawa Barat.
"Saya promosikan ini sebagai ungkapan dukungan kepada petani tomat yang terpaksa membuang produksi tomat mereka ke got lantaran harganya merosot hingga Rp200 per kg, saya imbau mereka untuk kreatif mengolah tomat menjadi manisan. Toh Garut sudah terkenal ke seluruh Indonesia sebagai penghasil dodol terlezat," kata Spudnik Sudjono usai membuka operasi pasar cabai.
Para pedagang dan konsumen rumah tangga yang berniat membeli cabai pun ikut memperhatikan ulah sang dirjen. Termasuk para pejabat dan staf dari Kementerian Pertanian RI di antaranya Kepala Badan Ketahanan Pangan (BKP) Gardjita Budi, Staf Ahli Menteri Bidang Bidang Perdagangan dan Hubungan Internasional, Hasanudin Ibrahim; Sekretaris Ditjen Hortikultura, Yazid Taufik ikut tersenyum melihat ulah bosnya.
"Saya ingin sampaikan kalau yang yang membuang tomat di jalan itu tindakan tidak benar, dan membuat keresahan di masyarakat," katanya.
Spundik menyebut, aksi para petani tersebut hanya untuk menarik perhatian media massa. "Jangan kemudian jadi provokator, padahal yang dibuang hanya dua hingga tiga peti tomat ke got. Ganggu di media dan masyarakat, padahal kami terus bekerja keras," ungkapnya lagi.
Dia meyakini apabila petani tomat bersedia kreatif maka keuntungan yang didapat akan berlipat ganda, karena mendapat nilai tambah dari hasil produksi tomatnya. "Kalau diolah keuntungannya bisa berlipat ganda, cuma tambah gula pasir dan kapur sirih plus waktu maka Torakur pun siap dijual."

According to him, their action only to attract the attention of the mass media. "Do not be a provocateur, in fact they just throw tens of tomatoes."
He believes if the tomato farmers are willing to creatively then the profits will double, as the added value of tomatoes. "If processed again, profits will double, just add sugar and whiting, then Torakur was ready for sale."
