Denpasar, Bali (B2B) - Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pertanian, Hari Priyono pagi ini, Selasa (27/10) dijadwalkan menghadiri pembukaan Regional Workshop Forum yang diselenggarakan International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) bertema: Innovation for Rural Transformation di Hotel Intercontinental Jimbaran Bali.
Hari Priyono hadir mewakili Menteri Pertanian RI Andi Amran Sulaiman dalam forum internasional mengenai pangan dunia yang akan dibuka oleh Presiden IFAD, Kanayo F Nwanze.
Pada pelaksanaan 38th Session of the Governing Council of IFAD di Roma, Italia pada pertengahan Februari lalu mengatakan bahwa tahun 2015 merupakan 35 tahun hubungan Indonesia dengan IFAD dan sejak 1980, sebanyak 15 proyek dan kegiatan dengan nilai lebih dari US$827 juta telah dilakukan di Indonesia.
IFAD merupakan lembaga keuangan internasional di bawah PBB yang didirikan pada 1977 sebagai hasil utama pelaksanaan konferensi pangan dunia tahun 1974. Pembentukan IFAD difokuskan untuk mengatasi masalah kemiskinan dengan melakukan pembiayaan atas berbagai proyek pembangunan pertanian di negara-negara berkembang khususnya di berbagai pelosok daerah tertinggal.
Indonesia menjadi anggota Executive Board secara terus-menerus yang salah satu tugasnya memutuskan aspek operasionalisasi dan kebijakan strategis IFAD dalam membantu pembangunan pertanian dan pengentasan kemiskinan di negara-negara berkembang, dan juga sejak beberapa tahun terakhir menjadi Ketua Komite Evaluasi IFAD.
Bali, Indonesia (B2B) - The Secretary General of Indonesia Agriculture Ministry, Hari Priyono was scheduled this morning, on Tuesday (27/10) attended the opening of the Forum Regional Workshop organized by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) entitled: Innovation for Rural Transformation in Hotel Intercontinental Jimbaran Bali.
Mr Priyono representing Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman in the international forum on world food which will be open by President of IFAD, Kanayo F Nwanze.
At the 38th Session of the Governing Council of IFAD in Rome, Italy in mid-February, Mr Nwanze said that 2015 is a 35-year relationship Indonesia to IFAD, and since 1980 is involved in 15 projects and activities worth more than $ 827 million has been made in Indonesia.
IFAD is an international financial institution established under the United Nations in 1977 as a result of the implementation of the major world food conference in 1974. The establishment of IFAD focused on addressing the problem of poverty by making the financing of various agricultural development projects in developing countries.
Indonesia became a member of the Executive Board decided that one of its tasks and the operational aspects of the strategic policy of IFAD, in support of agricultural development and poverty alleviation in developing countries, and since last few years become the Chairman of the IFAD Evaluation Committee.
