Subang (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian Suswono mengharapkan dukungan Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Moeldoko untuk memperluas kerja sama pembangunan pertanian Indonesia ke seluruh jajaran TNI, yakni TNI-AL dan TNI-AU, dalam upaya mendukung secara nyata di lapangan dalam mewujudkan ketahanan pangan nasional.
"Saya yakin dan percaya, hanya dengan ketersediaan pangan yang cukup dan harga yang terjangkau dari produksi bangsa sendiri, maka kedaulatan pangan akan tercapai," kata Suswono pada pencanangan perluasan tanam kedelai di Jawa Barat bersama Panglima TNI di Subang, Rabu.
Pencanangan perluasan tanam kedelai di Jawa Barat yang melibatkan TNI-AD meliputi empat kabupaten (Cirebon, Indramayu, Subang dan Karawang).
Suswono menilai kerja sama Kementerian Pertanian dengan TNI sangat produktif sehingga perlu terus ditingkatkan di masa mendatang, bagi jenis kegiatan maupun luas arealnya.
"Untuk memotivasi dan memantapkan sinergi petugas pertanian, petani serta TNI di lapangan, saya berharap Panglima TNI dan Kasad dapat meresmikan kegiatan-kegiatan tahun 2014 yang telah rampung," kata Suswono.
Menurutnya, kerja sama Kementerian Pertanian dengan TNI khususnya TNI-AD dalam melakukan perluasan tanam kedelai patut didukung dan harus berhasil.
Sementara Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat berkomitmen menyumbang produksi sebesar 146,8 ribu ton biji kering dengan rencana perluasan areal tanam kedelai seluas 77.500 hektar.
Suswono menambahkan, khusus di empat kabupaten di wilayah Pantura telah disepakati seluas 22.400 hektar yakni di Cirebon seluas 500 hektar, Indramayu seluas 17.500 hektar, Subang 2.500 hektar, dan Karawang seluas 1.900 hektar.

Suswono assess cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture with the Army was very productive so it needs to be improved in the future, the land area and planting activities.
"To motivate and strengthen the synergies between agricultural extension workers, farmers and military personnel in the field, I hope the TNI Commander and Army Chief of Staff to formalize the activities that have been completed in 2014," Suswono said.
According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture cooperation with the military, especially the army in expanding soybean planting should be supported and should be successful. While the West Java Provincial Government is committed to supporting the production of 146 800 tons of dry beans, with a planned expansion of soybean planting area to 77,500 hectares.
Suswono added, in four districts in the north coast region has been agreed upon 22,400 hectares, 500 hectares in Cirebon, Indramayu 17,500 hectares, 2,500 hectares Subang and Karawang 1,900 hectares.
