Jakarta (B2B) - Muhammad Lutfhi, mantan Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Jepang ditunjuk oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) sebagai menteri perdagangan di Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II, menggantikan Gita Wirjawan yang efektif mengundurkan diri per 1 Februari 2014.
"Saya memandang saudara Muhammad Lutfi cakap dan mampu menggantikan Gita Wirjawan sebagai menteri perdagangan," kata Presiden dalam konferensi pers di Jakarta, Rabu.
Gita Wirjawan mengundurkan diri dari jabatan menteri perdagangan karena ingin fokus mengikuti konvensi calon presiden Partai Demokrat untuk Pemilu 2014.
Jakarta (B2B) - Muhammad Luthfi, former Indonesian Ambassador to Japan is appointed as new Trade Minister, replacing Gita Wirjawan who announced his resignation last January to pursue presidential candidacy.
"I find Muhammad Luthfi as an eligible person for the position as trade minister," President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said here on Wednesday at a press conference.
Before being appointed as trade minister, Muhammad Luthfi was once Indonesian Ambassador to Japan. He was also former Chairman of Investment Coordinating Board.
