Jakarta (B2B) - Jakarta provincial government to support 12-year compulsory education program through Jakarta Smart Card, known as the KJP and free school was allocated by 2.4 trillion rupiah, which amount is deemed lower compared to the previous proposal, because the city government was more selective in allocating the budget.
Head of Jakarta Financial Management Body (BPKAD), Heru Budi Hartono admitted the KJP budget this year was cut up to 600 billion rupiah or from 3 trillion rupiah to 2.4 trillion rupiah, because following the findings of multiple KJP recipients and lots of false target in the field.
“After we did revalidation, the KJP’s program began to be tightened and its recipient numbers customized. This is because there were multiple recipients and out of categories,” Mr Hartono said here recently.
He added deplored when his party found irregularities in field. It shows that the level of public honesty is still low in receiving government program.
“This happen due to there is no honesty from the citizen,’ he uttered.
According to him, public role is very important to smoothen the programs. One of them is by actively escorting and monitoring the KJP’s distribution.
“Please be honest. You know what, the KJP is dedicated to underprivileged students,” he said.
