Magelang, Jawa Tengah (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian RI, Andi Amran Sulaiman melanjutkan kunjungan kerjanya di DI Yogyakarta pada Rabu (4/11) menuju Jawa Tengah, dengan mengunjungi kebun salak Pondoh di Desa Kaliurang, Kecamatan Srumbung, Kabupaten Magelang.

Mentan bersama rombongan dari Kementerian Pertanian RI, pejabat terkait setempat , dan jurnalis tiba di Desa Kaliurang pada Kamis pagi (5/11) dan langsung menuju kebun salak untuk melihat budi daya buah ekspor tersebut.

Kepala Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Magelang Wijayanti mengakui, pihaknya masih kesulitan mengekspor salak. Selama ini baru 20% ekspor yang diserap pasar, padahal produksi salak pada saat panen raya mencapai 70 kg per hektar dalam satu hari

"Agak susah untuk ekspor karena belum ada pasarnya sehingga lebih banyak dipasarkan di pasar lokal," kata Wijayanti yang mendampingi kunjungan Mentan.

Menanggapi hal itu, Mentan Amran Sulaiman meminta dinas pertanian kabupaten dan provinsi menyurati Kementerian Perdagangan RI untuk mendukung promosi dan pemasaran salak pondoh ke mancanegara.

""Surati Kementerian Perdagangan dan tembuskan ke saya. Saya siap mendukung ekspor salak," janji Amran Sulaiman.

Magelang, Indonesia (B2B) - Indonesian Agriculture Minister, Andi Amran Sulaiman continued his working visit in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (4/11) to Central Java, to visit the pondoh bark plantations in Kaliurang village of Srumbung sub-district in Magelang district.

Minister Sulaiman with his entourage of the Agriculture Ministry and local relevant officials, and journalists arrived in Kaliurang village on Thursday morning and went straight to the bark plant cultivation.

Head of Magelang Agriculture Office Wijayanti claims still difficult to export. So far, only 20% exports are absorbed by the market, whereas the production of bark during the harvest reached 70 kg per hectare in one day.

"It´s still difficult to export, because there is no market that still rely on the local market," Mrs Wijayanti said to Minister Sulaiman.

In response, Mr Sulaiman asked the district and provincial agricultural office wrote a letter to Indonesian Trade Ministry to support the promotion and marketing to foreign countries.

"Write a letter to the Trade Ministry with a copy of the letter to me. I am ready to support it," he promised.
