Jakarta (B2B) - Cadangan devisa Indonesia per 30 April 2013 tercatat mencapai US$107,27 miliar atau naik US$2,47 miliar dibanding posisi 28 Maret 2013 yang mencapai US$104,80 miliar.

Laporan Perkembangan Besaran Moneter Bank Indonesia (BI) melalui laman resmi BI di Jakarta, Rabu, menyebutkan penghitungan posisi cadangan devisa itu menggunakan konsep International Reserve and Foreign Currency Liquidity (IRFCL) atas dasar harga berlaku dengan format Official Reserve Asset (ORA).

Konsep IRFCL hanya mencakup aset yang tergolong likuid dan penilaiannya menggunakan kurs yang berlaku pada saat akhir periode laporan.

Laporan Perkembangan Moneter BI itu juga menyebutkan jumlah uang primer per 30 April 2013 sebesar Rp667,12 triliun. Sebelumnya jumlah uang primer per 28 Maret 2013 mencapai Rp664,94 triliun.

Jumlah tersebut antara lain terdiri atas uang kertas dan uang logam yang diedarkan sebesar Rp392,22 triliun. Sebelumnya per 28 Maret 2013, jumlah uang kertas dan logam yang diedarkan sebesar Rp394,82 triliun.

Selain itu disebutkan pula bahwa saldo giro pada BI per 30 April 2013 mencapai Rp234,06 triliun. Sebelumnya per 28 Maret 2013, tercatat sebesar Rp230,86 triliun. 

Cadangan devisa merupakan posisi bersih aktiva luar negeri pemerintah dan bank-bank devisa, yang harus dipelihara untuk keperluan transaksi internasional. Devisa diperlukan untuk membiayai impor dan membayar utang luar negeri.

Monetary Developments report Magnitude Bank Indonesia (BI) via the official website of BI in Jakarta on Wednesday, said the reserves position calculation using the concept of the International Reserve and Foreign Currency Liquidity (IRFCL) at current prices with the format of Official Reserve Assets (ORA).

IRFCL concept covers only a relatively illiquid asset and valuation using the exchange rates prevailing at the end of the reporting period.

BI Monetary Developments report also said the amount of base money per 30 April 2013 amounted to Rp667,12 trillion. Previously, the amount of base money per March 28,2013 reached Rp664,94 trillion.

Of these, among others, consists of banknotes and coins in circulation amounted to Rp392,22 trillion. Previous per March 28, 2013, the amount of notes and coins in circulation amounted to Rp394,82 trillion.

In addition it is also mentioned that the current account balance as of April 30 BI 2013 reached Rp234,06 trillion. Previous per March 28, 2013, recorded at Rp230,86 trillion.

Foreign exchange reserves is a net asset position of foreign governments and foreign banks, which must be maintained for the purposes of international transactions. Needed foreign exchange to finance imports and foreign debt payments.
